Coventry’s second Whitsun Congress drew an entry of fifty; seven sections of six and one of eight. D. G. Horseman controlled; G. N. Reason was again the leading organiser. If drastic plans for switching Coventry’s holiday periods go through, the city may not have a Whitsun at all next year.

14 January 2023 | First upload, with 7 games. Features all of John Littlewood's five wins, with his own notes. These were collected by the late Keith Brown and passed to me some time ago by Phil Adams, for which many thanks. The dates of rounds may not be 100% accurate; the only hard facts are that the tournament spanned the Whitsun weekend, from Saturday 4th to Tuesday 7th June. |
